The History

 

alfresco. was conceived by Robin Sheppard, the founder of the Ty-Nant mineral water brand (and instant winner of the 1988 Bottle of the Year design award, three days before the brand’s official launch!). tynant.com


Robin saw a gap in the market for soft drinks that tasted sophisticated and used natural ingredients. Together with a group of intrepid directors he set out to develop the range of more than 36 drinks now boasted by the business. This small, professional team packs a punch though, with a combined experience of more than 40 years in the soft drinks and food service business. 


Since its inception in 2000, alfresco. has supplied major multiples in the UK, as well as motorway service operators, high-street coffee shops, sandwich bar companies, and major contract catering organisations.


Throughout this time, in our creative blending of ingredients, we have striven to avoid chemicals, additives and stabilising agents - partly through the use of cutting-edge hot-fill technology and pasteurisation to achieve sustainable shelf life, but partly because they just don't make us feel good about ourselves.

 

alfresco. began life as a single elderflower recipe. 

 

Since then, it has expanded to include the much-vaunted Yoga Bunny Detox, alongside the latest super food Aronia.

 

From humble beginnings the company has carved out a niche, selling drinks to order while building up a stable of clients and retail partners
